Ultrasonic, ceramic or colour-changing?
Ultrasonic diffusers use water and a small amount of oil, misting fragrance into the air along with some humidity, useful in drier rooms. Ceramic and ceramic-style diffusers tend to be simpler and don't need water, relying instead on gentle heat or airflow to release scent from oil or wax.
Colour-changing models add a lighting feature on top of the diffusing function, worth knowing if you want the light without needing it running constantly.
